Celebrating the launch of the first ever Spinal Cord Injury Rehabilitation Ward in Madagascar

The opening of the first ever Spinal cord Injury Rehabilitation ward in the country was celebrated in Hospital Joseph Ravoahangy Andrianavalona Hospital (HJRA) on 31July 2019. The ward is under the directorship of Dr Renaud (whom we support and trained). They received two patients the same day.

On 5 September 2019 The Spinal Cord Injury Rehabilitation team celebrated International Spinal Cord Injury day by making widely available their Malagasy version of the international poster. They did a programme of awareness training for the population with TV and Radio programmes which were well received.
